D-Stop

D-Stop is presented with the support of the Royal Danish Embassy and features the work of Danish photographers Trine Sondergaard, Camilla Holmgren and Ebbe Stub Wittrup. Sondergaard's quietly dramatic photographs lead one to speculate whether they are an amalgam of contemporary costume drama and performance art - they are portraits of participants in a small folk festival. Holmgren's coldly lit self-portraits create an atmosphere of introspection and desire. Her every move can be experienced with both fear and anticipation. Wittrup's found images of anonymous mountain climbers are digitally altered, his painterly manipulations place them an imaginary yet familiar winter landscape.
